Thank you for enquiring about Baptism here in our Parish. We believe Baptism is an important event in a family’s life. As you will see from the following material, we ask you to prepare well for this event, so that it is as meaningful for you and your child as possible.
You may like to tentatively book a date for the baptism as you begin. Then we ask that you attend a series of preparation sessions to discuss the Christian faith and your own response to it.
If you want something simpler, we can also offer you a Thanksgiving Service for the birth of a child, which may appeal to you if you do not want the level of commitment that Baptism asks of you. In this ceremony we thank God for your child and pray for His blessing on your child’s life.
The next step now is to come for an interview with the minister, who will guide you through the process. Please feel free to ask any questions at this first exploratory meeting, and do come ready and willing to share your own ideas. We look forward to seeing you soon! With every good wish. If you would like to talk about Baptism for you or your family, please call Reverend Philip Trouse through the office on 5223 1118 or 0416 230 455.
